HIGH PRICE is a personal favorite, providing a wall of melodic chaos.
The track was a case of experimentation: Taking a clean and catchy disco jazz track, cutting it up in random places, and sticking the cuts back together until everything made sense. Once the base cut was laid down, the rest of the track wrote itself.
Being a personal favorite, bringing this track up to standard was especially important. Percussion was a tricky job, as I had created three separate drum tracks and mashed them all together. A section of the background sample work was also completely retuned, as I discovered just how badly it clashed after cleaning up the entire track. The original was so poorly mixed that it was HIDING my mistakes.
BUT NOW THE SONG IS FRESH.

A exploration of different flavors of electronica, slotting different pieces into a simple, yet satisfying framework to create something multi-faceted, yet connected.
There's some flavors of ambience sneaking around near the ending and some harsher tones explored in 'Minus' that almost give it a factory-like feel, but the biggest standout is the synth-pop flavor added in 'Grey Eminence'.
This one's a grab bag with a lot of fun stuff tucked inside, definitely give it a listen. Cardian Matsu
